Setup a separate business checking account to run all your business expenses and income through.
Setup a separate credit or debit card for business transactions only.
Save your receipts for your monthly bookkeeping (and in-case you get audited).
Use a software like Quickbooks Online or similar to help tag and categorize your expenses and income. This step will help you clearly see how your company is doing by running a profit and loss statement each month.
If you haven’t registered with your State, I would encourage you do that.
Other important tasks include- opening a tax savings account and paying estimated quarterly taxes.
Last but not least, creating good SYSTEMS and being ORGANIZED will be immensely helpful as you start your business. Don’t let your accounting slip through the cracks.
